ELECTRIC PERSPECTIVES

Thought Leadership

EP_boxlogo_orange.jpg

EEI is excited to offer a unique opportunity to share your thought leadership and industry expertise through sponsored content in Electric Perspectives. Senior executives and electric power industry stakeholders turn to Electric Perspectives, EEI’s flagship publication, for information they can trust.

Electric Perspectives is the only magazine written and edited specifically for C-suite executives at investor-owned electric companies, providing insights on the transformation underway across the electric power industry. EEI’s member companies and the broader industry rely on Electric Perspectives to stay ahead of trends and issues, and they trust its broad perspective and useful, authoritative, and engaging information on a range of topics—including smarter energy infrastructure, cleaner energy, grid security and reliability, rate and regulatory reform, workforce development, transportation electrification, customer solutions and more.

Your topic should hold the immediate interest of and have an impact on leaders at investor-owned energy companies. While case studies are welcome, our readers are generally more concerned with industry-wide issues. For example, an article describing various energy-efficiency efforts by a number of energy companies may be preferred to one about a particular company’s program.

Thought Leadership is available as a one-page submission with one logo or image or as a two-page spread which includes one page of content and a full-page advertisement.

STYLE GUIDELINES

You should strive for an informative, approachable style in your writing. You will be writing for readers who do not have time to wade through complex, technical jargon but who desire well-reasoned, intelligent discussions supported with data, research, quotations, and/or examples.

Electric Perspectives looks for a conversational style, but not an overly familiar one:

  • Stay away from the passive voice.

  • Avoid using jargon without explanation and do not assume comprehensive technical knowledge.

  • Use concrete examples. Our readers want to see how issues and techniques apply to the real world.
